Vigil for Peace, March 28, 2004

Over 50 residents of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills gathered at Singer Plaza for a candle light vigil one year after the start of the latest Iraq war and the formation of Los Altos Voices for Peace. We asked ourselves to find, plant, and nourish the seeds of peace. Many spoke out about their own hopes for change and for a more peaceful world. After joining in singing John Lennon's 'Imagine', the participants walked to the City Library to see the Peace Pole near the location where it will be permanently planted and to join in singing 'One Night I Had the Strangest Dream'.
