Audrey Shabbas has over twenty-five years experience in teaching, curriculum development and teacher training about the Middle East and Islam. She has conducted over 40 workshops in school districts, county and state offices of education, museums and universities throughout the United States. 

She has served as a presidential appointee to its Equity and Social Justice Committee.  Ms. Shabbas received the Lifetime Achievement Award from  the Middle East Studies Association's Middle East Outreach Council. 

She is also the founder and director of the non-profit organization, AWAIR: Arab World And Islamic Resources.
