YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND a presentation by Brian Avery, a volunteer for the International Solidarity Movement (ISM). Avery will speak at the Clubhouse of the Willow Park condo complex in Mountain View on Thursday evening, March 18, starting at 7:30. He will give his perspectives on the turbulent conditions on the Gaza Strip in Palestine and will also show the video documentary, "Dispatch: The Killing Zone."
On April 2, 2003, Brian Avery was shot in the head while he was serving as a ISM volunteer in Jenin. He has had three reconstruction surgeries and will undergo others in the near future. One of the goals of his speaking tour is to raise money for the "Brian Avery Medical Fund" that helps him pay for the surgeries. A hat will be passed for voluntary contributions.
