Members of Gold Star Families Speak Out and Mountain View Voices for Peace, in cooperation with the MoveOn 14th Congressional District Council, will assemble a Daily Death Calendar, placing on an oversized calendar a count of U.S. military deaths EACH DAY since the beginning of April, while other members read their names.

Karen Meredith, Gold Star mother from Mountain View, whose son, First Lieutenant Ken Ballard was killed in Najaf, Iraq on May 30, 2004 explains, "Each day the war goes on, someone's father, sister, or SON dies, and for what? April had more casualties than any month since January 2005. Things are not improving. It's time for the President to listen to the people and to bring the troops home "
