Subject: Community Groups Opposing Airport Noise and Pollution

For this week's meeting I enclose information on some groups opposing airport expansion plans. Nationwide, expansion of both cities and of airports is bringing them increasingly into conflict. I believe the Airport Noise & Capacity Act of 1990, by removing the "middle ground" of limited aviation, has made these conflicts increasingly bitter: it's all or nothing. I'm including a subset of the information with this note. Pressure will be ut on the curfew by these companies. Could the curfew be broken to allow cargo flights in the night? Not if the airport isn't expanded.)
